A village covered in a blanket of pure white snow. White deep snow as far as the horizon stretched. Bitter cold winds were frequent and the temperatures remained relatively low making it quite uncomfortable for those used to much warmer climates. Shikage, on the other hand, enjoyed the fine cool chill that seemed ever present around him. To the young fresh genin, it made for a quite pleasant day to go out and do some training.
He was always a bit of an over achiever, always training and trying to hone his skills. It was all in his upbringing as his clan set very strict standards for the boy. He also had his own sense of strong pride as a demon hybrid. He always had to get stronger, had to improve himself as much as he could. To push the limits of his own abilities was what he always seemed to strive for. There usually was not much else to do in this land anyway.
The training grounds seemed fairly empty today, so far it was just Shikage and the thick layer of white snow stretched out before him. Such desirable conditions were met with a very small smile from Shikage. Few things made him smile, but being lefdt alone to his training was one of those few things.
Shikage wasted no time in beginning his training regime for the day. He started off by giving himself a warmup and doing a few stretches to warm up his blood and get his body moving. Well trained shinobi normally wouldn't have to do this but he was still fresh out of the academy and not very experienced. He spent only a few minutews on the stretches, stretching out his arms and legs and doing a few jumping jacks as well. He then jogged in place for a bit, did quite a number of push ups and sit ups, then finished with leg lifts. It was a daily routine for him, sometimes performed more than once per day. It not only made for a great warm up but kept his body fit and toned for his taijutsu as well.
He then focused himself now ready to begin the actual training regime he had planned for the day. He began striking the training posts with basic taijutsu. Hit after hit maintaining speed and accuracy as best he could. He made strike after strike keeping up his combination strikes for as long as his body was able.
An hour would seem to pass and he had slowed down significantly as his body was fatigued and tired from all of the constant exertion but he knew he had to keep training if he wanted to get stronger. Though he was moving far slower he still made sure to keep moving. He pushed himself to the point he was in quite a bit of pain but his pride was far greater keeping him going for he had a goal to accomplish. With each punch and each kick his body wanted to give in but his mind would force just one more hit each time until he could take no more of the pain. He sat down where he had stood finally, too exhausted to make another move. He was quite angry with himself, disappointed that he could do no better and go no further. He would soon have to try again but for now he would move to the next bit of his training for the day.
He stood up, though just a bit wobbly and shaky from the fatigue of his earlier training. He then walked to the training post and sat atop it crossed legged making a single basic handsign to focus his chakra. He had formed the ram handsign, one of the most basic common handsigns usually used for chakra meditation and focusing. He closed his eyes and focused hard on his chakra. He was now in a state of serene and calm meditation where he could focus and build upon his chakra which was very important for those of his clan for the chakra nature they were known for was not an easy one to master. He was told to always improve his chakra capabilities and build upon the natural strength bestowed upon those bearing demon blood.
He continued to focus for two hours having been well trained in meditation by those of his clan as it was a sort of emphasis pressed upon him. The sounds of the howling winds and occasional voice far off in the distance were all too present as he sat in complete silence and stillness. Before long his body had grown numb from head to toe with only the feeling of flowing chakra within him, it was the point that meditation became rather hard even for him. He continued on for as long as he could bare the strange sensation but alas he finally had to cease his meditation and step down to the ground nearly falling from not being able to feel his legs.
He then performed his stretch routine yet again in order to awaken his body from the numbness he had felt. It did seem to work to wake up his senses and nerves but his exhausted body did not quite like the physical exertion from the task after having been exhausted from the taijutsu training long before. It seemed he was done for the day, unable to go on any further at this point he simply layed back in the snow. His jet black hair streaked in red far offset from the pure white snow. Now he would simply admire the beauty of the sky above letting the cool snow cool off his body.

: The Darkness IncarnateAge
: Demon hybridVillage
: Suterusugami clanAppearance
: Shikage was a promising young shinobi born to the Suterusugami clan. He was a son of the main branch of the clan, one called a pureblood containing the purest bloodline of his clan just as his father before him.
They were a clan of Demon hybrids born of both demon and human blood though the majority of their genetics was dominantly that of the demon. They were born of a dark demon which possessed the form of a humanoid cross between a wolf and fox with jet black fur darker than the night sky. The demon was a powerful being of darkness that had seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. Rumor has it that the demon was born of the darkness in the world which became strong enough to gain it's own lifeforce and will. A young maiden had fallen for the clever charm and trickery of the beast thus giving rise to a demon hybrid clan that would come to be known as the Suterusugami clan. The clan that specialized in the darkness element, a strong variant of the shadow element that the Nara clan was known for, was the Suterusugami clan. They were prideful and carried themselves as nobility for their skill and strength. They were always very demanding on the younger generation of the clan stressing the importance of maintaining the clan's reputation and image among the other clans.
Shikage was no exception from the clan's harshness as he was regularly beaten and battered into obedience. He was forced to train from the day he was physically able as they desired the next hair to the clan's leadership to be skilled and worthy of such a title. He was taught discipline and the clan shinobi way. They did so with all of the younger generation but stressed it far more on those of the main branch.
Shikage never really left the clan compound before entering the shinobi academy. The world outside of his clan's dwelling was completely new and unknown to him making him quite the introvert. He was usually quiet and reserved never really socializing with any of the other academy students. He was that silent mysterious student which was always hard to approach. His appearance did not help as he appeared to be roughly 16 to 18 years of age though he was much younger. Those of the clan did not ever reflect their age in their appearance as the demonic genes accelerated their aging between the ages of 6 and 9 then stopped it for the duration of their life leaving only minor signs of aging as they grew much older.
He was taught the transformation jutsu early on in life by his clan as they knew well the academy would require it due to his demonic genetics. Though he could take on any appearance he desired, he simply took the appearance of his self merely removing the demonic aspects of his body such as the black markings, the hard partial body exoshell, and his long black tail. The exoshell would appear as bandaging while transformed. The only demonic aspect he did not ever hide was the sinister bright red eyes that all of the clan possessed with slitted pupils.
He seemed to excel in the academy, not exactly top of the class but he was in the top few for his class. He was very skilled with taijutsu and fairly able with weapons. All as would be expected by one of his clan as they specialized in taijutsu, Darkness style ninjutsu, and kenjutsu being the sword arts. The stonger members of the Suterusugami were said to be able to wield 8 swords at one time successfully.
He graduated nearly at the top of his class with impressive marks. It was no real suprize seeing as he was of such a disciplined and strong clan with a rather well known reputation. His clan's skill would ultimately be reflected in his own skill. There was still much concern for how he would get along in a team or deal with people considering his trouble with socialising and inability to relate to people. He also had a sort of attitude about him, always behaving as if he were superior to those around him. It was simply one of those personality quirks caused from relation to such a prideful clan.Affinity
: Darkness StyleFighting style
: Indirect and precise. He puts focus into landing many small but effective attacks in order to break down his foe. His focus is on speed, precision, and in the moment countering. When pressured by a stronger foe, his fighting style changes to a far more direct and brutal style where he does not care about any damage he takes. He will focus solely on deadly offensive strikes only when pressured seeming almost mad in the head. Jutsu List

Name:Body Replacement Technique
Rank: E [Fixed cost of 10CP and 10AP]
Description:With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Despite it being a basic ninjutsu taught at the Academy, it is seen as a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations as it allows for a swift getaway from danger. The technique even allows a restrained shinobi to escape capture.
Effect: Escape; techniques within reason.
Name: Cloak of Invisibility
Description:This technique allows a ninja to take a cloak or a piece of cloth to blend into an object, making them invisible. Naruto Uzumaki is seen using this in the first episode to evade capture after he defaces the Hokage statues. Later, Konohamaru uses this technique constantly in the beginning of the series to try and fool Naruto Uzumaki, but uses poor disguises, such as square rocks with eye-holes, cloaks that are incorrectly patterned or rotated the wrong way around, or simply not covering himself completely, thus betraying the illusion.
Effect: Allows you to hide by blending in with an object; may be seen through with eyes or keen senses and experience.
Name: Clone Technique
Description:A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones may not dissipate when they come into contact with something.
These clones can be easily distinguished by persons with dōjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).
Effect: Distraction so long as it isn't seen through.
Name: Rope Escape
Description: A basic technique taught at the Academy. It allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. Sasuke demonstrated this when Naruto tied him up and gagged him. How this is done is a Shinobi Secret.
Effect: Escapes rope bindings or restraints.
Name: Transformation Technique
Description:Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it.
The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus, the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is not always successful.
Effect: Allows one to maintain a disguise until it's blown or they can't handle the strain.
